I want to thank everyone for your interest in our mini pigs. Unfortunately, we have stopped breeding  do to the overwhelming population of mini pigs in shelters.  To all of you that have done your research, I commend you.

Our site will remain up for informational purposes and for referral to reputable breeders and shelter information.

I do still make mini pig harnesses and coverups as well as offer soap and other products on my PigGear  site.

About Brenda

I am the owner and operator of Mini Pig Farm as well as PigGear.
I no longer breed mini pigs, but I still have 4 of my own.
I started making pig harnesses in 2010 when I couldn't find a harness that fit right. PigGear was created when my mini pig customers needed a bigger size harness when their baby grew out of the one I provided to them.

I would love help finding mini pigs, new borns- but once fully grown not to exceed 25-30lbs. the smaller the better . Please Help!

    • admin says:

Unfortunately there is no guarantee that a pig will only get to be 30lbs when full grown. Nobody can guarantee that because we do not know how they will be raised. I have a customer that has one that is 3 years old and only weighs 18lbs but one from the same litter weighs 45lbs. It is all in how they are raised and what food they are given, how many treats and what kind of treats. The one that is 18lbs goes to the vet regularly and is treated very well and fed the way he should be. He is perfectly healthy according to the vet. I know some people say that they are under fed to keep them that size and I just wanted to share with you the truth.
The only place that I would recommend at this time for the size you want is Royal Dandies. You can check out Hoobly.com to see if there are any in your area too.
      Hope this helps

We are so sad that you have stopped breading, but understand! Monte Weezer is well taken care of and we watch what we feed him and he is 55 lbs, but healthy and happy! It’s just like children, you never know…they are all so different! We love our Monte Weezer!

    • admin says:

I love people like you. Monte Weezer has got a great life and that makes me very happy.
He is 55lbs now and that is exactly what his mom is too. You and the kids are doing a great job with him .

      Thank you.

We are closing our doors and have several beautiful miniatures for sale in Washington State. Most of our pigs are between 15-40 lbs but we do have a couple large breeders between 65-85. If you’re interested email me. It’s my first and last name at gmail. Thanks!

    • admin says:

I approved this message in the hopes of helping you sell your pigs. Unfortunately we are not breeding anymore either, so we really don’t need them. Thank you though and good luck.

I have been waiting 3 years to finally be ready to adopt a potbelly pig. I work at a Therapeutic Riding Center in Texas, and would love to be able to have a pigger small enough to take with me to work to help enrich the lives of the children I work with. Do you know of any potbellies needing rehoming that are not over 30lbs or what rescue centers I should contact. I don’t want to buy a new pig as there are to many pets out there that need good homes. Any info is a great help!
    Thanks!!!

    • Brenda says:

Well I wish you were closer to me in Florida, because I have a little white one approx. 30-35 lbs at 2 years that I promised to another place for rehab with children. Unfortunately they never came through with the paperwork showing me that it was a legit business so I just kept her after getting her spayed and micro-chipped.

As far as rescues in Texas, I found this link that might help you http://www.serenityspringssanctuary.org/animals/browse?Species=Pig

I am interested in getting a micro-pig for my grandson for his birthday. Do you think they make good pets for an 8 year old? are they easy to potty-train? do they tear up things in the house? do they bite? do you know any breeders close to West Virginia? thank you and if you have any more info you feel I should know, please feel free to contact me, waiting on your reply,,,

    • Brenda says:

Honestly, I think it really all depends on the kid and the pig. Most of them are easy to train, but it’s more like are you easy to train. They are pretty demanding as house pets and have been known to tear things up if they are bored. Yes they will bite if not treated right. All I can say is do your homework and read as much as you can before getting one for a kid.

  6. Mary Carroll says:

I am interested in getting a white male tea cup pig. I live in Oklahoma. Do you know of any for sale near me that are selling in the budget of $100-$200? Thank you and anymore information that would be good to now, please email me.

    • Brenda says:

I’m sorry but I don’t know anyone selling in your area at all. I would also be careful about buying one for $100-$200, they will probably end up very large. The smaller they are the more expensive they get.

  7. Nila says:

Help, our Mini pig is constantly tipping her Ugo-Dog potty over, We tell her no in a firm voice, or give her a toy to distract her, but nothing has worked. any suggestions?

    • Brenda says:

She probably thinks it’s a toy. Most pigs play with everything with their nose until they really learn the rules. Pigs are also very stubborn and don’t take to negative discipline very well. The only thing I can suggest is that you maybe put it in a wooden frame to make it heavier so that she can’t flip it. You don’t want to keep telling her no or she might not want to go in to it at all.

  8. Nila says:

Thank you for the great advise. I will do that.
